What you can expect when you book my photography services.

Sometimes we creatives can get a bad wrap . . .

Some of the stigmas attached to our industry include Poor communication, unmet expectations, & terrible at keeping to deadlines.

So, naturally I wanted to clear a few things up and here are 3 things you can expect from me:

1. FAST & CLEAR COMMUNICATION

I hate wasting time. Not only is it just plain frustrating but it costs both myself and my clients extra resources, cash, and time that could have been better spent. One thing I pride myself on is creating an open line of communication from the start. This way we both have the same set of expectations for your shoot and can work together as efficiently as possible on shoot day.

Upon submitting your booking form, expect a call from me within 24 hours. I’ll answer any questions you may have, outline what you can expect for your portrait or branding session, and I will further clarify your photo needs to ensure you receive an accurate quote.

2. STRATEGY SESSION BEFORE YOUR SHOOT

Once you’ve approved your quote, if you’ve booked a branding session, we’ll move forward and schedule in a strategy session. This is up to an hour in length and we will brainstorm to figure out everything you might need for your brand’s photoshoot:

  • We’ll review your photo needs, ideate how to structure each shot, and outline the must haves and nice to have shots.

  • Locations/outfits/props that tell your story and fit into your exisiting brand identity

From this session, we’ll walk away with a shoot day schedule and a clear shot list outlining the structure and content of each image in detail. All of this information will be written up and emailed through to you in a PDF.

3. REVIEW YOUR IMAGES AND SELECT FAVOURITES IN REAL TIME

On shoot day you’ll be able to review the images in real time, either on the back of my camera or on the computer if your shoot allows me to shoot tethered.

This allows you to see whether there’s something in the shot that needs tweaking and we can adjust on the spot. As we make our way down the shot list, you’ll be able to have a look at what we’re capturing and select your favourite angles and shots. After your shoot has finished, these favourites will be edited and placed into your image gallery.

From there, you’ll have another opportunity to make final touches and handpick the final images you want to keep.
